Reading Voyagers
Privacy policy
Last updated 14 September 2026
Reading Voyagers is a reading companion for one, two, or three people at a table. This policy describes the personal data the app and website collect, why we keep it, and how you can delete it. The operator is the team behind Rocky Mountain Apps, reachable at support@readingvoyagers.com.
What we collect
When you create an account we store a display name, optional email address, password hash (if you chose a password), and sign-in identities from Apple or Google. We store reading journeys you create or join: the book, your progress, thoughts and replies, ratings, invitations, and who sits at the table with you. We may store a public shelf slug if you turn that on. Device tokens are stored only if you allow notifications. We record product analytics events such as journey created or account deleted, without selling that data.
Book catalog
Title, author, and cover lookups use public catalog sources (including Open Library and Google Books). Search queries are sent to those services so we can match a book. We do not send your email or table conversation to those catalogs.
Who sees your reading
People at your table see the progress and thoughts you share with the table. Private notes stay on your account. A public shelf, if you enable it, shows finished titles you chose to publish. Invitation links show the book title and host name, not your email or the conversation.
Payments
When you subscribe in the United States, Stripe processes the payment on the web. On other App Store storefronts, Apple In-App Purchase processes the subscription. We receive an entitlement (whether you may host another table), not your full payment card number. Development unlocks are not used in production builds.
Retention and deletion
You can delete your account in the app under Account. We revoke sessions, remove sign-in identities, clear email and password, cancel pending notifications, and set your display name to “Deleted reader” so tables other people still share can keep their history without your login. You can also email us at the address above. Apple ID subscriptions are cancelled in iOS Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions, or from Manage Apple subscription in Account. Stripe subscriptions are cancelled through the receipt email or by writing support.
Children
Reading Voyagers is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
